New applications

The SMART SIM card can be used instead of a regular SIM card in all mobile telephones supporting SIM Toolkit technology. Apart from increasing the capacity of your phone book, it also adds an O2 file to your phone's main menu. In this file, you will find the following SIM applications:

Important note: the O2 file and the applications inside it are in Czech only. However, most of them are simple enough to operate that even customers with minimal Czech skills should be able to use them.

1. O2 GSM Banking

Use your mobile to manage up to 15 different bank accounts. The O2 GSM Banking application lets you see your bank statements, make payment orders, and access other financial information.

When you receive your SMART SIM card, you will also be given special PIN and PUK codes that enable secure communication with banks. Activating GSM Banking is easy. Just visit any of the participating banks where you have an account, and they will send you an activation SMS for this service.

Most of these banks allow you to use your mobile to recharge the calling credit of any O2 prepaid phone. Just go to your main menu, open the O2 file, and select GSM banking, followed by DobijGo.

2. O2 Active

The SMART SIM card gives you easy, anytime access to entertainment and information via the O2 Active portal - even without a WAP phone. Just go to your phone's main menu, open the O2 file, and follow the links. From there you can browse categories like news, sports, entertainment, travel, and more.

Important notes:

• The SMART SIM card only lets you access the Czech version of O2 Active portal. To use the English version, you need a WAP phone.
• All O2 Active applications accessible via the Smart SIM card are text-only (no graphics). Complete functionality of WAP applications can be assured only when using a WAP-enabled phone.

3. PIN Manager

Forget about forgetting. No longer do you have to keep track of passwords and security codes in your head, as the PIN Manager application securely stores them in the memory of the SMART SIM card. Save up to 15 passwords and codes and have them handy at all times. Access to your entries is secured by an adjustable PIN code.

How PIN Manager works

• First you have to activate it. Just go to your phone's main menu, open the O2 file, and select PIN manažer. You will then be asked to confirm that you want to activate the service. When you do so, O2 will send you an activation message, after which you can immediately start using PIN Manager.
• The preset PIN code is 1111. You can change this PIN at any time in the PIN Manager menu. Please note: if you enter an incorrect PIN three times, all entries will be deleted and the PIN will be reset to the original 1111.
• You can save up to 15 entries.
• You can change the entries, send them as an SMS, and delete them.

4. Personal SMS

This application enables you to keep your personal SMS messages confidential by saving them in the SIM card memory and protecting them with a password. You can also send them to another SMART SIM card (provided the user has also activated the Personal SMS application), as well as save your contacts.

How the Personal SMS application works

• First you have to activate it. Just go to your phone's main menu, open the O2 file, and select Personal SMS. You will then be asked to confirm that you want to activate the service.
• The preset PIN code is 1111. You can change this PIN at any time in the menu of the application. Please note: if you enter an incorrect PIN three times, all entries will be deleted and the PIN will be reset to the original 1111.
• You can write text messages of up to 100 characters long.
• If the addressee has not activated the Personal SMS application, your message will be delivered as a regular SMS.
• The Personal SMS application can securely store five SMS messages and 15 phone numbers.
