O2 Tandem

Setting, changing, and canceling limits

(O2 Tandem - detailed information about the service.)

Setting the limit

As the holder of the primary SIM card, you can easily change the limits for calls (in minutes) and sent SMS messages (number) of your secondary SIM cards. Simply send a text message to the number 999111 containing the following keywords:

TAN LIMIT Hxxx Sxxx XXXXXXXXX

  • H stands for hlas (voice)
  • S stands for SMS
  • xxx stands for the amount for which the limit is being set
  • XXXXXXXXX represents the phone number - e.g. 602988889 - for which you want to set the limit

Example:
TAN LIMIT H200 S150 123456789

We suggest you do not enter zero as a limit, as that could block outgoing calls and SMS message delivery from secondary SIM cards.

Exceeding the limit

Our system automatically checks the set limit several times a day. If the card has exceeded either limit - call time or number of SMS messages - all outgoing calls and paid services will be blocked.

( Note: the setting of limits is intended primarily as a guideline. While the limit is checked at regular intervals, it is possible to exceed the limit between checks. The card will then be blocked during the following check.)

Once secondary cards have been blocked, their users will only be able to receive calls and SMS messages. The users of the primary and secondary cards will be informed of the blocked status via SMS. The primary cardholder may then change the limit of the secondary card for the given accounting period if they wish.

Changing the limit

As the holder of the primary SIM card, you can easily change the limits for calls (in minutes) and SMS delivery (number) from your secondary SIM cards. Simply send a text message to the number 999111 containing the keywords below. To decrease the limit, a minus sign (-) must be used. To increase the limit, no symbol is necessary.

This is how you would ask to increase the limit for calls and decrease the limit for SMS messages:

TAN ZMENA Hxxx S-xxx XXXXXXXXX

  • H stands for hlas (voice)
  • S stands for SMS
  • the minus sign ( ) means you're asking for a decrease in the limit
  • xxx stands for the amount by which the limit is being changed
  • XXXXXXXXX represents the phone number - e.g. 602988889 - for which you want to change the limit

Example:

If you wish to increase calling minutes by 20 minutes, the format of the SMS will be:

TAN ZMENA H20 S 123456789

where 123456789 is the phone number of the card whose limits you wish to change.

Status check

Users of both primary and secondary cards may check the set limits and their current status. To do so, simply send an SMS to 999111 containing the following keywords:

TAN LIMIT STAV XXXXXXXXX

  • XXXXXXXXX represents the phone number - e.g. 602988889 - for which you want to check limits.

Canceling the limit

Both limits may be deactivated by sending an SMS to 999111 containing the following keywords:

TAN LIMIT KONEC XXXXXXXXX

  • XXXXXXXXX represents the phone number - e.g. 602988889 - for which you want to discontinue limits.

Note: The prices of the SMS messages you use to set, change, and cancel the limits of your secondary cards correspond with the regular SMS rates of your tariff.
