Telefónica Czech Republic, a.s. offers two methods of GPRS connection, allowing you to choose your level of protection against unsolicited data.
GPRS and GPRS / O2 GPRS Static IP Address
This type of connection, recommended for the majority of users, protects you from unsolicited traffic while you surf websites and check your email.
GPRS Special and GPRS Special / O2 GPRS Static IP Address
This second type of connection enables access to the full range of Internet services, without any special protection from data that has not been specifically requested. (Please note, when using GPRS, the user is always charged for the amount of data transmitted, regardless of the source). This connection is recommended for more advanced users, and for users with greater demands for Internet access.

Notes
- You can choose a maximum of two APNs (one secured, one open). Combinations of dynamic and O2 GPRS Static IP Address are not assigned in any way.
- There is a CZK 495 activation fee when changing from any APN Internet connection to APN Internet. Prices do not include VAT.
* The firewalls associated with these APNs are set up in such a way that they only enable TCP connections from mobile devices to the Internet. Other transfers, such as UDP and ICMP, are not authorized.
** These APNs allow TCP and UDP connections in all directions, including ICMP. This type of connection is comparable to a standard dialup connection through a fixed telephone line.
