Who is eligible for subsidized mobile phones?
All new Telefónica Czech Republic, a.s., postpaid mobile service subscribers, as well as customers transferring from prepaid services or from competing operators, who sign a 24-month contract are eligible for subsidized mobile phones. The offer is also available to current customers who prolong their current Extra Mobil service. The offer is not available to customers who use the Max variant of any of our standard tariffs.
I would like to purchase a subsidized phone, but I want to keep my current tariff. Is this possible?
Yes. Simply select the monthly flat rate (that is, the minimum commitment) that most closely corresponds with your current tariff, then choose from our wide selection of phones available for that minimum commitment.
What happens if I switch to a different tariff during the validity of my contract?
Nothing. However, if your contract is still valid you must continue honoring the minimum commitment to which you agreed when you signed the contract.
Can I change the amount of my minimum commitment during the validity of my contract?
No. If you sign a contract for 24 months, you commit yourself to paying a minimum monthly sum for one year; this amount cannot be changed during the 24-month contract period. However, you can optimize your bill by selecting O2 tariffs and services in a way that maximizes their potential.
Can the offer of subsidized mobile phones be combined with O2 Simple tariffs?
Unfortunately, it cannot. The exception is the O2 Pohoda Simple tariff. However the offer of a subsidized mobile phone applies to all other tariffs.
Can I terminate a contract prematurely?
Yes, you can terminate your contract prematurely. However, you will have to pay the penalty that you agreed to pay in accordance with General Terms and Conditions. The penalty amounts to the difference between the subsidized price and full price of the phone.
