To run ICQ on your mobile you only need:
- your own ICQ account
- this application for your mobile phone
Then you can start chatting!
ICQ account
To use ICQ on your mobile, you need to have an active ICQ account on the Internet. For information about ICQ, visit www.icq.com
Application download
If you use ICQ on the Internet, you can transfer it, along with all your contacts and important functions, to your mobile phone.
Download the application easily and for free via WAP at wap.o2active.cz, in the Moje >> Moje aplikace (My >> My applications) section. If you do not know how to use WAP, simply send an SMS with the keyword JHRA W686 to the phone number 999888. You will promptly receive an SMS with a direct link to wap.o2active.cz, where you can download the application.
As soon as you have downloaded ICQ to your mobile, it will appear as an icon in your main menu. From then on, whenever you want to connect to ICQ, access it through this icon or set up your mobile so that ICQ launches automatically.
Automatic launch
To run the ICQ application automatically so that you don't have to confirm dialogs every time you launch it, configure your phone as follows.
For SonyEricsson phones:
Install the application and open the folder in which you have installed the application (Main menu > File manager > Applications or Games folder). Choose ICQ and then "Next" and adjust the settings in "Authorization options" as follows:
- Internet access: DO NOT ASK
- Messages: DO NOT ASK
- Automatic launch: DO NOT ASK
For Nokia phones with the Symbian system:
Install the application and open this path in the menu: "Tools" > "Administrator" and choose "Options" in the ICQ application. Then choose "File settings" and adjust the settings as follows:
- Network access: ALWAYS PERMITTED
- Connection: ALWAYS PERMITTED
For other Nokia phones:
Install the application and open "Application" > "Collection" in the menu and choose "Options" in the ICQ application. Then choose "Application access" and adjust the settings as follows:
- Communication -> Network access: ALWAYS PERMITTED
- Communication -> Connection settings: ALWAYS PERMITTED
