Frame Relay and ATM Operation Reporting

Service characteristics

Operation Reporting for the Frame Relay, International Frame Relay, ATM, and International ATM data services is an optional value added service for the above-listed basic services; it provides the customer with reports featuring a summary of data regarding the operation, load, and quality of the service per day or month. This reports are designed in such a way that one page usually contains summary data about the service or selected ports in the form of tables, graphs, a table of the worst cases, and a graph of trends.
Daily reports are generated on the following afternoon, monthly reports on the day after the end of the calendar month.

This reports are generated by the PPR reporting system, based on the subsequent processing of accounting and statistical data acquired daily from Nortel Passport equipment.

Operation reports are presented on the O2 website to those with authorized access, or they are delivered by email to authorized persons. Frame Relay and ATM Operation Reporting enables the customer to optimize the parameters of data lines and circuits with respect to actual needs of the applications being operated.

A condition for establishing the Operation Reporting service is the usage of the FR and ATM services in the same location. In the case of International Frame Relay and International ATM, this service is conditioned by supply of Operation Reporting from the foreign partner providing the foreign segment of the solution.

FR Port Detailed daily load on individual ports
This report provides a detailed overview of the daily operation and load of a group of one customer's FR ports in the form of a graph. The graph shows the daily operation profile in bytes for both transfer directions and load at the receiving side. In addition, the number of quarter-hours of This reported day, in which exceptional values of load have been achieved, is stated for each port.

FR Port Daily statistics of load of individual ports
This report provides a general overview of the daily load on a group of one customer's FR ports in the form of one table. The average and maximum value of load on the receiving side within This reported day is stated for each port. In addition the numbers of quarter-hours of This reported day with exceptional and normal load are stated for each port.

FR Port Monthly overview of load on a group of ports
This report provides a general overview of the monthly operation and load of a group of one customer's FR ports in the form of a table and two graphs. The graphs show the operation for each transfer direction and load on the group of ports by individual days of This reported month and by months within the last twelve months. The table contains a summary and peak values of operation and load on the group of ports in This reported month.

FR PVC Daily overview of load and service quality of a group of PVC
This report provides a summarized overview of the daily load and service quality of a group of one customer's FR PVC in the form of graphs and tables on one hand. The customer thus gets an overview of the total operation within the committed and excess information rates (CIR and EIR, respectively) and of the quality of service provided by the network during the day being reported. The customer can also see how, in the most stressed PVC, their highest transfer requirements within the configured CIR and EIR are satisfied and will be able to optimize their settings for individual PVC.

FR PVC Daily statistics of load of a group of PVC
This report provides a summarized overview of the daily load in both directions of each FR PVC of one customer's group in the form of a table. The value and time of the highest transfer requirement within the configured CIR is stated tor each PVC and distribution of the average load during the day is reported in the form of colored spots.

FR PVC Daily load and service quality of a group of PVC by locations
This report provides an overview of the daily utilization and quality of service of a group of FR PVC in one customer's locations. For each location the customer obtains an overview of the total operation and of the quality of service provided by the network within This reported day in total for the entire location as well as for individual PVC of the location.

FR PVC Monthly overview of load and service quality of a group of PVC
This report provides a general overview of the monthly operation and its quality of a group one customer's FR ports in the form of a table and two graphs. The graphs show the operation of the group of ports by individual days of the reported month and by months within the last twelve months (in Mbyte). The table contains summary and peak values of operation and its quality for the group of ports in the reported month.

FR PVC Monthly load and service quality of a group of PVC by localities
This report provides an overview of the monthly utilization and service quality of a group of FR PVC in one customer's locations. Thus for each location the customer obtains an overview of the total operation and of the quality of service provided by the network within the reported day in total for the entire location as well as for the individual PVC of the location.

ATM Port Daily statistics of load on individual ports
Daily report providing an overview of load of the customer's ATM ports in the form of a table. The following values are stated for each port, separately for each transfer direction:
  • Average and minimum load
  • Volume of lost cells
  • Numbers of quarter-hours when the load was in one of four selected load bands. The load bands are determined by the following values: 0% - 55% - 75% - 85% - 100%.

One-page daily report providing analogical data as with the previous one in a summary for the selected group of ATM ports.

ATM PVC Monthly detailed overview of load by localities
Monthly report providing detailed information about ATM operation in the customer's individual locations in the form of tables. It provides information about outgoing and incoming calls and about sent and received cells.

Monthly report providing detailed information about the quality of the ATM operation in the customer's individual locations in the form of tables.

ATM SVCMonthly statistics of SVC calls of the customer
Monthly report providing statistics and trends of the number of of the customer's good and bad ATM SVC calls. It consists of one table and two graphs on one page.

Daily one-page report providing an overview of latency, availability, and lost cells ratio for all ATM connections between two selected nodes of the network in the form of a summary table and three graphs.

Operating and technical conditions

Time for service implementation: 1 - 2 weeks after the service is ordered. The user will obtain the username and password assigned to them for access to their operation reports at www.o2.cz in written form.

Daily reports for the previous day are displayed on the following day, usually from 15:00.

For International ATM and International Frame Relay, the above mentioned time schedule depends on delivery of data from the foreign partner and may differ. It will be set individually after an agreement with the foreign partner. Consulting of the reported data is provided by email (contact at the user web page)
