Don't waste time feeding sheets of paper one by one into a machine. With O2 Email technology you can use your laptop or PC to fax a file directly from your hard drive.
Hardware for faxing
You can connect your computer to O2's mobile network using any of the following devices:
- card phones and mobile modems
- telephones supporting infrared interfaces or Bluetooth
- telephones supporting direct cable connection
If you are not connected yet , visit a brand store where our representatives will explain the advantages of each option.
Software for faxing
Sending and receiving faxes on PCs and laptops requires specialized software (like Symantec WinFax or 602proGSM) that is not always standard in the operating system. If your laptop or PC is not equipped with a fax-sending application, stop in at a brand store and our representatives will help determine which works best for you.
The voice mail option
O2 customers with Universal or Fax PROfessional voice mail can store faxes in their voice mailboxes. Working in conjunction with computers or fax machines, voice mail lets you receive, store, send, and print faxes with ease. All you need is a fax number.
Faxing from abroad
To send faxes while traveling abroad, you must first have activated roaming. Otherwise, accessing the Internet or sending faxes from abroad requires nothing more than a phone number with an international dialing prefix. (The local GSM operator must provide data/fax services).
So before crossing the border, be sure you've activated roaming and have entered all telephone numbers into your directory. Also be sure that all your and data and fax software have the numbers entered in the international format (+420 for the Czech Republic). For example, whether using O2 or an independent Internet provider, your dial-up number should be in the following form: +4209991234556
