About the O2 Grant Advisor Project
European Union structural funds are a unique option for the development of information technologies in organizations. Over CZK 100 billion of EU funding has been allocated for companies through 2013; a large portion of this is intended for ICT-related projects. This historical opportunity will not be offered again. That's why we want to help our customers take advantage of these grants.
- Telefónica has valuable ICT solution know-how that it gained in Spain. It also has experience managing EU-funded projects. Telefónica is the most successful company in securing research ICT grants in Spain, where it has prepared several projects for its customers.
- Telefónica studies the conditions for EU funding and can prepare ICT solutions that meet these conditions for your company .
- Telefónica always helps its customers carry out ICT projects in such a way that they contribute to the improvement of the company's ability to compete, also a priority of EU funds.
European Union Funds and Information and Communications Technologies
At present, modern ICT are a necessary condition for the development of every company's ability to compete. Even the European Union sees the development of ICT as a priority, and supports it accordingly via structural funds. CzechInvest has again opened appeals for submitting requests to the corresponding programs. Organizations now have a rare opportunity to use EU funds to ensure their future competitiveness.
Small and mid-sized companies in particular can gain significantly from efficient use of ICT. Tools facilitating electronic commerce eliminate geographical barriers, while quality ICT also enable more efficient management of companies, their internal processes, relationships with customers, and much more. ICT are also required for the use of electronic services provided by the state, known as eGovernment, which can help generate required forms and documents, verify them with electronic signatures, and so forth.
Over CZK 4 billion has been allocated for small and mid-sized companies (up to 250 employees) as part of ICT programs until 2013. Similar grant programs supporting ICT are also available. At Telefónica, we examine the needs of our customers and seek to adapt to those needs. At the same time we are adjusting our solutions according to the conditions for EU funding and define them in such a way that these solutions can become part of a company's ICT development projects.
