Death or disappearance
(Transferring your service or changing personal details - detailed information about the service.)
It isn’t nice to think about, but sometimes a loved one passes on, or even goes missing. If that has happened, one of the things you will need to sort out is their phone and internet services. If they were with O2, you can cancel or transfer services by visiting an O2 Shop, bringing any relevant documents, and we’ll try to sort it out as quickly as possible.
If someone dies
If one of our customers sadly passes away, we don’t want to cause their loved ones additional pain by sending bills and letters every month. To cancel or transfer services, you can go to an O2 Shop, with a document confirming the death. You can bring the death certificate, confirmation from the hospital, confirmation by the registry office, or a receipt from a funeral parlor.
If someone goes missing
We hope it never happens, but if one of our customers disappears, and is pronounced officially missing, we don’t want to cause their loved ones additional pain by sending bills and letters every month. To cancel or transfer services you can go to an O2 Shop, taking an officially certified missing person decree.
