    Calling from abroad
    (roaming)

When you get a new SIM card we can activate roaming immediately upon request; otherwise it is automatically activated after you pay for three consecutive invoices. Roaming is active immediately on an O2 prepaid card. O2 Eurotarif is always pre-set.

TIP: Activate the Volání bez hranic tariff and call and text for just CZK 3.90. You can easily set up the tariff in My O2. For information on Roaming, call the Roaming help line at *30.

    How roaming works?

I want to call a Czech number while abroad – or call a Czech number that’s abroad, from home I want to call (or receive a call from) a foreign number while abroad I want to call a foreign number from home I want to call a Czech number that’s abroad, while also abroad

I want to call a Czech number while abroad – or call a Czech number that’s abroad, from home

Petr, who has a Czech O2 number, is on a trip in Germany. He calls his mom back in the Czech Republic. Petr pays the price charged by his roaming tariff (e.g. with O2 Eurotarif he will pay CZK 12.60 for a 2-minute call from Germany to CR). Receiving the call is free for Petr's mom.

If Petr’s mom calls him back, she will pay the same price as for ordinary calls to the O2 network in Czech Republic. Petr pays the rate charged on his roaming tariff.

I want to call (or receive a call from) a foreign number while abroad

Petr is on a trip in Germany, and he calls his friend Thomas, who has a German mobile. Petr pays the rate charged on his roaming tariff (e.g. with O2 Eurotarif he will pay CZK 12.60 for a 2-minute call in Germany).

If Thomas calls Petr, Petr will pay for the incoming call according to his roaming tariff (e.g. CZK 3.30 for 2 minutes call with O2 Eurotarif).

I want to call a foreign number from home

Marie, who has a Czech O2 number, is in the Czech Republic. She calls her German friend Thomas. Marie pays the rate charged by O2 for international calling.

    International calling prices

I want to call a Czech number that’s abroad, while also abroad

Petr is on a trip in Germany, and he calls his friend Karel, who has a Czech O2 number too, but who is in France. Petr pays the rate charged on his roaming tariff (e.g., with O2 Eurotarif he will pay CZK 12.60 for a 2-minute call in Germany). Karel pays for receiving the call according to his roaming tariff (e.g. with O2 Eurotarif he will pay CZK 3.30 for receiving a 2-minute call in France).

If Karel calls Petr back, they will both pay according to their roaming tariffs - Petr for receiving the call; Karel for calling.
